Using the Black Berkey Purification Elements, you can pour dirty water into the top of the filter, then watch as gravity gently draws the water through the micro-pores of the ceramic elements, giving you clean, pure water. The "Super Stearasyl" ceramic filters are impregnated with silver to inhibit bacterial growth, making them self-sterilizing. Scientific testing has found that the filters eliminate Giardia, Cryptosporidium and 99.99% of pathogenic bacteria. They dramatically reduce organic chemical impurities, herbicides and pesticides.
